Community Connections

Community Connections is a core priority for the City of Dublin, supporting a healthier and more inclusive community. According to the Community Health Needs Assessment survey, 43% of residents feel only moderately less sense of belonging, and 75% feel only somewhat or not connected to their neighbors. By fostering opportunities for engagement, support and recognition, Dublin aims to strengthen neighborhood ties and enhance community cohesion.

Dublin Good Neighbor Week

National Good Neighbor Day, observed every Sept. 28, celebrates the simple power of kindness between neighbors. In Dublin, we expanded it into a 10-day celebration. During Dublin Good Neighbor Week, residents came together to connect, give back and recognize the people who make our community special. Over the 10 days, the community completed 100 acts of kindness through the Community Connections Challenge, donated 116 personal care items and nominated 35 neighbors. Let’s keep that energy going all year long! Whether it’s lending a helping hand, saying hello to a new neighbor or getting involved in local programs, every act of connection helps make Dublin an even stronger, more welcoming place to call home.

Ways to Get Involved

Nominate A Neighbor

Neighbors play an important role in building a strong, connected community. The Neighbor Nomination recognizes individuals who go above and beyond to support those around them, whether through small acts of kindness or ongoing contributions to their neighborhood. By celebrating these neighbors, Dublin not only honors their efforts but also inspires others to engage and contribute to the well-being of our community. Show your appreciation for a neighbor of your own by nominating them for this honor.
